In this episode, I discuss what we can learn from organizational failures. This summer, I sat down with a new leader of an organization that, in some respects, is fighting to re-establish itself. It went from an industry leader to an organization in trouble. It is a bit of a train wreck at the moment. All because they had tunnel vision and failed to live by established values.
What does this have to do with our life?
We are the “organizational” leaders of our own life. We set the course for our future. We need to consider where we might have tunnel vision at only one desired outcome without considering how our pursuit of that could impact our future.
We are the architects of our future. We will inevitably make mistakes. In those moments, we must decide what we do to correct course.
