So last week, I set out to do my first 30 day challenge. I was going to listen to a TED talk a day. I made it two days.
I failed.
Not exactly the auspicious start I was hoping for. In fact, I’ve since cancelled that particular challenge. (Hey, I made it up so I can modify it, right?)
So what to do when you fail at something that you believe is a good idea? Of course, this is the question I’m faced with now.
Well, I’m going to start two new challenges.
I mean if you fail at something small, go bigger, right?
Here’s what I’m going to do:
- I’m going to journal personal stuff for the next thirty days. I have a wonderful journaling app that has been rated very high for security and all that jazz so I’m going to utilize it. Processing our days through writing about them can be very therapeutic.
- I’m going to exercise once a day for the next thirty days. Truth be told, I’m going to give myself some leeway on this one. If I have to do some heavy lifting chores around our little hobby farm, I’m going to count that as exercise.
So that’s it. That’ my two self imposed challenges for the next thirty days. We’ll see how it goes. How about you?
What do you want to try and do for the next thirty days?
