Think about it.
Talk about it.
Joe Martino writes and talks about relationships, psychology, parenting, mental health, personal growth, leadership, culture, faith, communication, and the complicated business of being human.
Some ideas are better explored slowly on the page. Others belong in a conversation. Here, you can do both.
Read it or listen to it.
The format changes. The goal does not: explore useful ideas, challenge assumptions, and consider what might be different.

Secure
Emotional security is one of the ideas at the center of Joe’s work.
Relationships have long been at the center of Joe’s counseling, writing, teaching, and speaking.
His work on emotional security explores the patterns that help people create healthier relationships: connection, communication, conflict, trust, vulnerability, responsibility, and the ability to remain engaged when relationships get difficult.
That idea is developed most fully in The Emotionally Secure Couple, but it continues to shape Joe’s conversations about marriage, family, communication, and relational health.
Some ideas need room to breathe.
Writing creates room to slow an idea down, examine it closely, and follow an argument wherever it leads.
Conversation does something different. It allows ideas to move, react, develop, and sometimes get messier before they become clearer.
Joe uses both. Sometimes an idea becomes an article. Sometimes it becomes a podcast episode. Sometimes the same question is worth approaching more than once from a different direction.
