Relationships have long been at the center of Joe’s counseling, writing, teaching, and speaking.
His work on emotional security explores the patterns that help people create healthier relationships: connection, communication, conflict, trust, vulnerability, responsibility, and the ability to remain engaged when relationships get difficult.
That idea is developed most fully in The Emotionally Secure Couple, but it continues to shape Joe’s conversations about marriage, family, communication, and relational health.
Some ideas need room to breathe.
Writing creates room to slow an idea down, examine it closely, and follow an argument wherever it leads.
Conversation does something different. It allows ideas to move, react, develop, and sometimes get messier before they become clearer.
